A train is coming down the track.
Hundreds of millions of people are tied to the track. You can choose two buttons:
Blue: You are also tied to the track. However, if 50% pick this button, the train stops. No one dies.
Red: Everyone on the track dies but you get to live.
A train is coming down a track.
Everyone on Earth has the choice to either tie themselves to the track, or not.
If more than 50% of people choose to tie themselves to the track, the train turns around and doesn't run them over.
Yes or no - do you tie yourself to the track?
if you didn't know any better, the way certain people talk about art direction of older games, you'd think that the very concept of art direction didn't even apply then and every single decision was motivated solely based on hardware limitation and nothing else.
It's completely fair that one of the most celebrated game of all time as well as one of the most visually impressive game the PS2 has ever produced would have people with opinions on the way the remake changed its art direction
I love how this entire conversation is all about boss fight slop because the moment you talk about level design (99% of the game) Elden ring instantly gets evaporated to dust.
Fromsoft kinda struck gold with their games becoming infamous for difficulty cause now they can just release anything no matter the quality of design and fans will defend it cause they dont want to be called bad
FUN FACT: If you study the History of Ancient Egypt at university, the only job prospect you have is teaching others the History of Ancient Egypt. It's the original pyramid scheme.
"WHAT!? YOU'RE MAKING THE BAD GUYS IN YOUR BIDEO GAME ANALAGOUS TO A REAL LIFE DICTATORSHIP THAT OPPRESSES YOU!? AND YOU'RE MAD THAT THEY INVADED YOUR COUNTRY, MURDERED YOUR COLLEAGUES AND TURNED YOUR CITIES INTO WASTELANDS!?
AAAAAAAAHHHHH, I AM GOING INSANE! KEEP POLITICS OUT OF MUH VYDIA! HOW DARE YOU ADD THEMES OF WAR AND DICTATORSHIP IN A SERIES THAT HAS BEEN ALL ABOUT WAR AND DICTATORSHIP SINCE THE FIRST BOOK!?"
@Cliff8161@cherylmasonsh3 I said it elsewhere but Capcom *thinking* that DRM makes it harder to pirate their games does not make it so. And IIRC they have some policy on their website that says modding their games is expressly illegal and tantamount to piracy. I don’t think it’s enforced though.
@SqrunkTrep@GeneralMarino@cherylmasonsh3 Nothing. But upper leadership at Capcom are dumb as rocks and thinks that adding DRM will somehow deter piracy. The people making these decisions are the same morons in suits that tried to make RE9 into a multiplayer live service game
