Rare photo of the elusive Bubito, specimen of the genus Disobedientus Camouflagious Felidae, rumored to be residing in our sanctuary. Infrequent sightings have been reported. Current whereabouts (inside): Unknown. *Bubito was rescued by Girl Scouts. He is healthy and stealthy.

@SafferTheGaffer To quote the late Jane Goodall, "We are the most intellectual species to walk the planet, but we are not intelligent. If you're intelligent, you do not destroy your only home." The destructive capacity of humans is truly staggering. Sometimes I'm a bit ashamed to be human.

@JohnOberg The cruelty that humans inflict on the rest of the planet seems to have no limit. It is shameful and unconscionable. Sometimes I almost wish Nature would simply wipe us out. We don't deserve this planet.

Though sad, I'm thankful for the honor of having met the irreplaceable Jane Goodall. I pray that we will have the courage & persistence to carry on her legacy of conservation & respect for Earth, our only home. Thank you Jane for such a magnificent example. Rest in light & peace.

Eleanor, the wise older sister to all the feline residents of the Sanctuary. She's got it all: beauty, brains, and sass! She was rescued from a theater called "Roosevelt Cinema ", thus her name. She's a compassionate and a teacher by example. A pleasure to be her Rescue Mom! 🩶

@SafferTheGaffer That's my motto too: No one should be denied food if they're hungry. Probably one of the most valuable legacies from my grandma who fed everyone in sight. That goes for humans and non-humans alike. That's how most of my sanctuary residents got here. I love to see others eat! 😁
