The IFI @DiadSea team have completed their eDNA surveys in Ireland! In 2025, the team undertook 4 sampling sessions at the mouths of the Suir and Munster Blackwater. These samples will be analysed using eDNA metabarcoding to detect presence or absence of important fish species

The @Diadsea project has been continuing its environmental DNA (eDNA) surveys in Ireland and France (MNHN). The Diadsea team in IFI recently undertook sampling at the mouth of the Suir and Munster Blackwater. Summer session 1 is now complete, just one more session to go.
