Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. We honour the memory of over 6 million Jews who were killed during the holocaust. We remember the Black people, 2SLGBTQIA+, Slavic, Roma, Sinti, people with disabilities, Jehovah's witnesses and the many others who were killed.
Kwanzaa is a celebration from Dec 26 - Jan 1 that honours Black history & culture. The 7 candles represent Umoja (unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (collective work/responsibility), Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity), Imani (faith).
