🚨IT'S OFFICIAL: Arthur Hayes-founded crypto exchange BitMEX has SHUT DOWN trading after more than 11 years.

Trading and deposits ended at 04:00 UTC today. Users can still log in and withdraw funds, but remaining balances are subject to account fees.

BitMEX announced the closure on July 23, saying its owner decided to close the exchange after reviewing the business and broader crypto industry.

BitMEX once handled roughly 57% of global crypto derivatives trading.

Security researchers are warning iPhone users about a potential Safari zero-day exploit that could put sensitive data at risk, including cryptocurrency private keys, recovery phrases and information stored in Apple’s Keychain.

The reported attack involves a Safari-based exploit chain that could progress from WebKit/JavaScriptCore memory corruption to sandbox escape and kernel-level access.

The warning reportedly covers iOS versions ranging from 13 to 26.5, although the full range has not been independently confirmed.

If you use an iPhone, check for the latest iOS update and install it as soon as possible.

Avoid opening untrusted links in Safari, especially if you store crypto wallet data on your device.

Breaking: U.S. Prosecutors Probe Binance Over Possible Iran Sanctions Violations

U.S. federal prosecutors are investigating whether Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, violated U.S. sanctions on Iran by knowingly allowing certain transactions to proceed, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The probe is being handled by the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office and is focused on Binance’s compliance controls and whether it was aware of the transactions. Binance previously pleaded guilty in 2023 to anti-money-laundering, unlicensed money-transmission and sanctions violations, agreeing to pay about $4.3 billion.

🇪🇺BREAKING: ECB launches “Digital Euro” for banks as Pontes begins tokenized finance pilot.

President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde announces The ECB is launching Pontes today, a platform that will connect private blockchain networks with the TARGET system, allowing banks to settle tokenized assets directly in central bank money.

“It's digital euro made available for banks,” the ECB says, allowing institutions to transact using tokenized assets and DLT ���faster, without friction," she  adds.

Pontes is the first step toward the ECB’s broader Appia ecosystem for tokenized financial markets, while consumer-facing digital euro testing is planned for mid-2027.
