I have a request for anyone with access to a paper copy of @girlonthenet’s book ‘My Not-So-Shameful Sex Secrets’ - I need to find a page reference for a quote for my dissertation (I’ve been using the ebook) - please reply to this tweet if you can help and I’ll DM you 🤓
This week our applicants will hear the outcome of their NINE DTP studentship applications - wow what a highly competitive year! Well done to all those who have secured studentships and sorry we couldn’t have supported all 120 that made it to the panel stage! Debbie
One upside of the pandemic is that now more conferences are taking place via streaming, I can attend events from around the world without travel expenses - day 1 of #beyondac2021@UCBerkeley was really great, looking forward to spending this evening online learning more 🤓🍷📝
Spending my Saturday (and Sunday) evening watching some very interesting and informative panels about sex work. Completely free event for those in the industry, considering the industry or wanting to understand more about sex work.
Superb human @lolajeandotcom & her crew are running a FREE series of workshops this weekend addressing "challenges faced by sx workers, especially those new to the industry". Covering safety, law, marketing, production & more.

@AmyDemidow No, I’ve not experienced that one. How odd. I’m sorry you’re experiencing these obstacles online with your research, but keep doing what you’re doing because it’s great to see who else is participating in research in this field.
Devouring @AlixFox’s Kink podcast on #audible - I’m on Ep5 (Coming to Power) and absolutely loving the detailed references to the #sexwars and the interview with @girlonthenet and just all of this excellent EXCELLENT content. Congratulations 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Presented my paper today at a @unibirmingham research event and have realised that depending on whether I’m writing my literature review or analysis chapters my paper will be weighted on that chapter! Really useful to present findings while I’m putting together my thesis though.
Spent the day with some of my favourite friends and colleagues at the Critical Sexology Anniversary seminar. Zoom-based stresses notwithstanding, this was a fascinating and fun event. Thanks to those who attended.
