@FixingUpDroids “Well, if you absolutely insist I’m sure I could accommodate that. I would just hate to deny my dearest of friends such a -simple- request.” Her tone was lit with playful mocking, and the grin was wide upon her face.
“Though uncle would likely have a few questions about the //
@FixingUpDroids "Oh, undoubtedly. But you already knew that was going to come." she swatted as his hand mussed her hair, quickly moving to fix it when he'd withdrawn.
"You reap what you sow, my dearest of friends. Maybe if you look /extra/ sad he'll let it slide."
@FixingUpDroids she stretched above her head, relaxing infinitely more now that she knew he was going to be taking care of himself better.
"Just be prepared for the speech from uncle Jay about how you should have come in sooner."
@FixingUpDroids "Good! Because otherwise I'd tell mother, and she'd send someone to bug you until you went." she thought hard on that for a moment.
"I mean, really I'm just saving you and her the time, because we both know that it'd be me she'd be sending and I'm already here!" with a grin //
@FixingUpDroids made a face at her friend, before dropping down from her perch to go over and gently poke his side.
"You're better than trying to lie to me, Tal. You need to do better, you know that."
@FixingUpDroids And she gave him a look that said she was raised with a brother who tried to pass off very similar looks with their parents. The addendum that she had to try a whole lot harder to do the same thing with them didn't go a long way for that to help him either.
"Uh huh." Tay //
@FixingUpDroids her worry slightly. How much had he been putting himself though?
“I’m sure uncle can set you up with something. Can’t help them if you’re laid up with some sort of knee surgery down the road, yeah?”
@FixingUpDroids “I mean. I can’t see why not? If you want I can ask her for you. I’ll be seeing her tonight anyway.” She chuckled, looking over the area a bit.
“You may wanna get some sort of knee braces for all this though.” Tay hadn’t missed the way he’d needed to help himself up. It made //
@FixingUpDroids “Can’t forget Dee, now can we Tal?” Tay has to laugh, reaching over and patting the droid herself. She loved these two, they were as close as family.
Family that you make was often strong; her mother had some like it. It was a concept she adored. Uncle Jayce was proof of it. //
@FixingUpDroids “That’s fantastic.” Tay beamed as she watched the pair before her. The two of them always left her in a chuffed mood. Honestly, she adored them both; they were great friends to her.
“You do amazing work here, Tal. Oh and you too, Dee.”
@FixingUpDroids “Definitely love it.” Tay beamed as the droid bumped her, though she had to shift her weight on her perch to keep from tumbling down. It was amusing to her, if nothing else.
“Better than ever, huh Dee?”
@FixingUpDroids "Thanks!" Tay settled down .. somewhere. Taking a seat as he handed over the caf. She wasn't entirely certain this thing she was sitting on was the safest, so it was a bit of a precarious perching in place. When she saw Dee rolling out, however, she had such a grin. //
@FixingUpDroids "100% like father like daughter, there." the laugh she'd begun earlier dipped to an amused chuckle, poking her head in around the lab. In her head she could hear her mother admonishing how messy her own room could get.
...
Maybe she should send her into Tal's place here so //
@FixingUpDroids stopped her a lick from wanting to do more things either." she chuckled, stuffing her hands in her pockets as she wandered along with him.
"Course, I'd swear she gets that from you."
@FixingUpDroids "Oh no, I'm so sorry. Poor Dee. I'm glad the pilot was alright too." Ooph. The risks of any pilot, she supposed. That said, it was still a worrying thing. Tay crinkled her nose up, not unlike how her mother often did.
"Lucky you were able to fix her, huh? I bet it hasn't//
