Our mission is to generate social mobility and improve the life chances of our young people through the provision of excellent educational experiences.
Incredibly proud of all our DofE students, who have collectively spent 1066 hours volunteering between 1st April 2025 and 31 March 2026. Which is a huge rise from last years 273. Resulting in an overall social value of £9,794 in just 2 years! @BBGAcademy@ResilienceMAT
Huge congratulations to Elisara in Y8 who’s netball team finished second at the U14 National Clubs Netball Finals this weekend! Elisara and her team played brilliantly all weekend and only lost one game! An amazing achievement! 💚🏐💙 @BBGAcademy
One of our favourite days of the year at Churwell Primary Academy - our annual art gallery - so lovely that each child has their own art work on display and that they have contributed to a group piece 🌈
A great first match win for the Reggae Boyz this evening against India. Great to see Bailey in the starting XI. Very proud of the Cadamarteri brothers!
What a day! The first peek of our 2026 Graduation is in this week's BBG Bulletin, along with lots of other exciting news about our week. Have a restful weekend, #TeamBBG💙💚💙

BBG Class of 2026 have graduated!!! What a fabulous afternoon with so many families and friends in the audience. Thank you to all who took part, supported, attended, cleaned, ironed, tidied away… all part of what makes #TeamBBG so special and makes our graduation so unique
Penny has been working with the Nursery children this morning on our whole school arts project. The children were twisting, curling and folding different materials to create a bird's nest for some eggs 🌈
Year 2 children have been exploring all things mini beast! They have been creating their own drawings on natural materials and been finding and measuring different bugs- putting them back safely 🌈
The Friends of Churwell Colour Run was fantastic! The children had a great time and loved the rainbow colours they ended up with! The weather was perfect - a lovely afternoon in the academy and a great way to end the half term 🌈
Year 6 children worked with Penny to create their miniature garden views for the art gallery - this needed a lot of focus and being precise - can't wait to see all the artwork together after the half term break 🌈
Year 2 worked with Penny on their Secret Garden artwork - they used a line to experiment with perspective - can't wait to see them all displayed in the art galley after the half term 🌈
While the rest of the world is breaking up for half term, Team BBG are powering on through for another few weeks! Read all about this week in BBG Bulletin Issue 367! https://t.co/r6vseyOeYP
Have a great weekend #TeamBBG💙💚💙
Sending all the luck to the Cadamarteri brothers as they take to the pitch this week representing Jamaica in the Unity cup. We can’t wait to share updates
