I’ve seen way too many people on Twitter who insist that they will never vote for one candidate or another, even though they will #VoteBlueNoMatterWho down ballot, on the theory that so long as Democrats hold the House and Senate, the president doesn’t matter. Enormous mistake!!!
I hope everyone will campaign hard for their preferred candidate in the primaries, and vote their heart. But when it comes to the general, I hope all these people who are feuding over Bernie and Liz will have the good sense to #VoteBlueNoMatterWho.
Republicans are obstructing as much as they possibly can. First act: a motion to adjourn “so as not to waste the time of the People’s House on this impeachment sham,” voted down by voice vote, followed by a Republican request for a recorded vote. Fifteen minutes plus wasted.

We’re doomed. Democrats don’t have what it takes to win back our republic. The people in the hearing room had it right last week: loud and disruptive. If any of the Resist people even showed up, they kept their distance from me, with my vocal protest, and stood apart.
I have the feeling that they actually think we can win the day with quiet, dignified protest. That’s too close to the “collegiality” that has been our undoing at least since Reagan. Republicans just smirk, and continue to lie, break the rules, and pillage the national wealth.
