Maker, reader, designer, foster puppy raiser, & Resister. she/her. Started this to resist the 45 agenda. Continuing it to resist complacency & white supremacy.
Dusting off this account because, well... it's go time. 🗳️
Got a fresh button idea going here — not super clever, but super important:
✨THE PRESS WANTS✨
✨TRUMP TO WIN✨
[Once that single truth really sinks in, everything else happening right now makes sense.]
Almost 2 years after firing 45 still grateful every day that he's not the president. There's still so much to do, but that still feels like a win.
Also! The Resistance Button Club ended in 2021, but most of the buttons are still available in the shop:

Who else is going to be out in the streets tomorrow, rallying to defend abortion access?
This is why we marched in Jan 2017.
We knew this was coming.
There are rallies all over the US, so find yours and show up. The more of us, the better.
Be LOUD.

Nearly 2 years later...
As described above, my NFL boycott started because of the racist DC team name.
That’s not an issue anymore, but the continued anti-Black racism in that organization still is.
So I’m still out.
ICYMI, this happened *yesterday*:

I live in Chicago, so tonight is a big #NFL night here (It's the first game of the season. It's #NFL100. The Bears are playing rivals Packers. It's ALL!🎉 BIG!🎉)
So it seems like a good opportunity to talk about my decision for the past 3 years to #BoycottTheNFL
1/14
PS — There are LOTS of additional reasons to #BoycottTheNFL. Including, but not limited to, CTEs, domestic abuse with impunity, the racism inherent in punishing players who take a knee... the list goes on.
I’m not disregarding any of that. It’s a both/and situation here.
This shouldn’t get overlooked. There were a zillion fauxtrage articles and tweets from Trump allies, claiming tear gas wasn’t used and attacking journalists who said it was.
Hey Chicagoans! Tomorrow, #StopAsianHateChi is organizing a march tomorrow in Logan Square to allow members of the AAPI community to share their stories and to have a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting and recent hate crimes. 🙏
Join us tonight (Tue, Mar 9) at 7:30pm CT for Democracy in Action!
We’ll hear from our member Kelly B of @ResistanceBadge, who leads our weekly Antiracist Work Group every Sunday at 10am.

Oh hey! Here's an article about our meeting tonight in the @Suntimes!
Yes, we are the Indivisible chapter referenced throughout. Thanks for the reporting, @rrhinton.
