@insidehousing Shared owners certainly need more clarity. The government's recently published 'Leasehold tookit' to explain leasehold reform made no mention of SO. Hence our Open Letter calling for a 'Leasehold toolkit for shared owners'.

Shared owners are required to have a RICS valuation, have no right to the kind of conversation you had with your valuer, plus they’re liable to pay over any difference. It’s not the variation at issue; it’s the lack of control over the resale price.
