Results of an extensive 5-month industry consultation on the Responsible Grain draft Code of Practice are now available. Over 24 consultations were held with hundreds of survey responses from Canadian farmers and commodity organizations.

@farmboy1706 The following industry groups are providing cash contributions: Grain Growers of Canada, Canola Council of Canada, Cereals Canada, CropLife Canada and Fertilizer Canada. Canada Grains Council was able to obtain matching funds from AAFC, through the CAP program.

@Farmerre1 ENGOs provide important outside credibility for sustainability claims made by Canadian agriculture. The Canadian animal care codes, the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef and Field to Market in the U.S. all had ENGO members.

Twenty-three consultation sessions have been planned as part of the Responsible Grain consultation (19 EN and 2 FR). Many of those are in conjunction with producer organizations and commissions across Canada, and individual farmers.
