From today, 29 Sept, the sale of vaping products and other tobacco/nicotine products through vending machines is banned.
From 1st of November, the Government will introduce an E-Liquid Products Tax (EPT) which all vaping retailers will be eligible for.
Minister @Paschald has signed an order giving commencement for the E-Liquid Products Tax from 1st November. Retailers who obtain e-liquid products from a supplier outside of the State must register through Revenue online. Please get in touch if you need more information.

Figures obtained by RVI under the FOI Act show that a total of 389 test purchase tests were carried out in 2024 for all tobacco and vape products. Just 166 of these were tobacco inspections, almost a 60% drop from 2023 figures.
