The prostitute is not... the victim of men, but rather their conqueror, an outlaw, who controls the sexual channels between nature and culture
Camille Paglia
And I wish it wasn't the police, because they aren't the answer. They often times make things fucked. But if we could all care, if the person watching the beat down would join in defending people with me, maybe they wouldn't be my only option sometimes.
If we valued people, all people, to start with, wouldn't you go help someone being assaulted in normal situations? I don't like the police but I will definitely call them if I can't take on someone myself. If I think they will cause harm.
When I worked outside, there were a lot more dangerous people that I met, not like a majority but definitely more than when you have a bigger process for them to go through to meet you. But this is a bad part of our society. Why are we letting anyone treat people this way?
There are assholes and rapists out there who are harming people who are trafficked. That doesn't crossover into legal and consensual sex work. That is always wrong. I don't even think there can be an argument otherwise.
I get the idea that money is coercion, but that is true in entry single job. I love my medical job but I hate the company I work for and I am unable to work for another company because I have to pay bills and take care of kids. That's coercive.
The people who pretend to be supporting victims are so often found out to be creeps. Being for money to find the victims and then revictimize them over and over again to make money. Even the term 'sex trafficking' takes away from the actual experience of slavery and rape.
I don't approve of any trafficking, so of course, as most (vast majority like 99.9%) sex workers see trafficking as an absolute harm, it doesn't really come into our world other than if we see a wrongdoing and wish to help.
Some of us enjoy making people happy. Making them feel good. And I believe this is the right thing to do an it should be an unquestioned service that is necessary and good.
Not that everyone must offer this service, but for the housebound, why would it be abnormal or somehow immoral to get sex from a sex worker? It's not. It is not a bad or wrong thing to do and want what's natural and fun.
What is safer than a vetted sex worker who uses protection in one form or another and knows that as this is their livelihood, they wouldn't want to "injure" their ability to work.
Isn't it normal for people to want sex? I don't understand the shame of wanting sex from a sex worker. The shame that is so forcefully put upon people when really, most people want it and I would say a majority would be inclined to not care about anonymous sex if safe.
...but I am paying for a house until we sell it. I am paying for a hotel because I cant find a single room place other than this. I'm still working but they say I cant do overtime. So I am basically paying my loans and my Bill's. Plus gas, food for the kids and me. How?
I am a first responder as well as a sex worker. I cant get income from either but I am able to put my family at risk. I've put my kids in quarantine with their grandparents and made myself isolated because of my job and lack of equipment...
