My guess on the writing:
Using a void melee readies soul siphon. Using soul siphon on enemies drains them, granting a void overshield based on the amount of enemies drained.
It also kinda looks like it suppresses them, but that could just be visuals from the aspect itself. I reaaaally hope this counts as a melee ability so it can benefit exotics and mods. Can't wait to build around it!
