Restless Communities is a Ugandan NGO empowering underserved communities with skills, health, and climate-smart livelihoods for sustainable development.
Kudos @RHUganda for always putting issues of young people at the center of your programs. @Restlesscomm we bear the same vision and believe collaborations can make us go far and better serve the young people's interest holistically.
Happening now: We are launching Health Happens Here (HHH) Project in Fort Portal, bringing together key stakeholders from Fort Portal City and Kabarole District to advance young people’s health, rights and wellbeing.
The meeting introduces the project’s goals and implementation approach, creates a shared understanding of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights priorities, and explores opportunities to strengthen inclusive services and community engagement.
Stakeholders will agree on their roles and mechanisms for collaboration and coordination, and commit to supporting effective project implementation.
Health Happens Here is implemented by RHU with funding from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Rutgers International.

#BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, @Restlesscomm is taking action!
Early detection saves lives. Throughout October, we are hosting community dialogues & stakeholder engagements across Uganda to raise awareness, share facts, and discuss effective management strategies.
UPDATE FROM BAMUTAKUDDE.
The Chairman's Children's Party was a success! 🎉
Over 200 children from Bamutakudde & neighbouring villages came together as they prepare to go back to school tomorrow.
We cooked together, ate together, danced, played football, swam & enjoyed theatrical plays by the children.
I organize this every holiday so every child feels they belong to this village. Their smiles say it all.
Wishing all our children a great 3rd term!

Motivational Monday 🔔
Embrace courage over uncertainty. Knowing your HIV status provides clarity, confidence, and power for informed decisions.
HIV self-testing puts knowledge in your hands, with support available.
Your status is information, not identity.

Happening Now | Kagadi District
Today, we are marking the close-out of the PROMISE II Project in Kagadi District, reflecting on the progress made, partnerships strengthened and lessons that will continue beyond the project.
One of the project’s standout achievements in Kagadi is the establishment of the Interfaith Network on Climate Change and Reproductive Health, bringing together 16 religious leaders to champion conversations and action at the intersection of climate change and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Through PROMISE II, we have worked with communities and partners in Kagadi to demonstrate that climate change and reproductive health are deeply connected, and addressing them together can build healthier, more resilient communities.
PROMISE II is funded by Danish International Development Agency through the Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA).

A big thank you to Kisoko High School for hosting @Restlesscomm Uganda for an impactful 3-day Life Skills training!
Together, we explored present-day realities, uncovered blind spots, envisioned a new picture, and committed to action.

Thank you Hon. Dr @CHRISBARYOMUNS1 for receiving me & Danish embassy. Appreciate our rich discussion across sexual & reproductive health/rights, financing gaps for health staff in refugee hosting areas, potential for Danish investment in health infrastructure & medical interns😅
@SwedEnvoyUganda@adoniaayebare@UgandaMFA@SwedeninUG You are welcome to Uganda the pearl of Africa, as @Restlesscomm Uganda we look forward to engaging with you on matters that affects our communities. We wish you the very best in your tour of duty, once again, U are welcome to Uganda.
This #WorldHumanitarianDay, we celebrate the courage of local leaders, adolescent girls, and young people leading change across Uganda. We are proud of you.
#ActForHumanity
Humanitarian work isn't just responding to crises, it’s building resilient, self-reliant communities from within and ensuring that our people of concern receive the best services they need.
#ActForHumanity, #WorldHumanitarianDay, #WHD
Pregnancy does not stop when crisis strikes. Women still need safe places to give birth, skilled care and protection from violence. As we commemorate #WorldHumanitarianDay, we reaffirm that motherhood must be protected, even in the most difficult circumstances. #ActForHumanity
Honest, evidence-based details replace myths, peer pressure, and harmful internet misconceptions with factual knowledge, reducing shame around normal bodily changes and many other SRHR issues that young people face. Kudos @UNFPAUganda
Access to accurate sexual & reproductive health information is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. @UNFPAUganda is committed to ensuring everyone, everywhere, has the knowledge and services needed to live a healthy life. Let's work together for universal access! #SRHR
Human brains are wired for stories, rhythm, and emotion. A young person is far more likely to remember a catchy chorus about boundaries & double standards than a bulleted list on a whiteboard, kudos @reachahand for the innovative way you employ to reach out to young people.
We just wrapped up our blind spot training at Kisoko High School
Takeaways: Friends should elevate, not drain you respect & clear boundaries, double standards don't belong in our school
Over 300+ students stepped up to lead with greater self-awareness. Thank you, Kisoko High!
Are your choices shaping your future or holding you back?
Day 2 at Kisoko High School with @Restlesscomm, helping students uncover hidden blind spots:
Friendships & influence
Navigating boy-girl dynamics Challenging gender stereotypes & double standards
#KisokoHigh
We’re on the ground at Kisoko High School, leading interactive training sessions to unpack the everyday realities, challenges, and bold ambitions of youth.
Young voices aren’t just the future-they are the present. Let’s listen, support, and lead together!
