@JohnEDeaton1 if you really want to win this November you’ll need the vote of the over 600,000 gun owners in Massachusetts. I think you need to address the gigantic elephant in the room which is what Governor Maura Healey did just the other day. On the precipice of our repeal campaign getting more than enough signatures to suspend bill H.4885 (an egregious 2a violation), our lovely governor adds an emergency preamble to the bill to block the suspension.

The state congress could have added this at any point (they have more than enough votes) they didn’t see the need to. Healey could have added it when she signed the bill easily and did not see the need to. Only after she saw our signature campaign was about to be successful did she decide to intervene and declare this an “emergency”. Never has this been done 2 months after the signing of a bill and especially when a repeal campaign is actively under way in Massachusetts.

The democrats have prided themselves on upholding democracy but this is a far worse violation than anything I’ve seen before. I hope you can address this. Even if you have opposing views on whether this bill should be upheld I strongly implore you to denounce what the governor has done.

It is now official! Each 4885 would have been suspended officially had it not been for the tyrannical actions of @MassGovernor got involved in the Constitutional process and decided to suppress the will of the people.
