Investments in nutrition and food aid are crucial lifesaving priorities during humanitarian crises❗️
Right now, we are unfortunately seeing what happens as aid cuts are worsening the devastating famine in Sudan.
It’s time for our government to lead with courage, not retreat 🇨🇦🌍
Our leaders need to hear it clearly: people across Canada want to stop the cuts to international aid in #Budget2026.

Today, more than ever, it's important to think globally and work together across international boundaries.
So it's fitting that Results Canada and Results UK are celebrating their 40th birthdays at the same time 🥳
Thank you to @KittyArie, CEO of @resultsuk, for writing this piece to mark four decades of our advocacy and thank the volunteers that made it all possible: https://t.co/f0iGLeejd5
Thank you for celebrating 40 years with us!
We were so happy to see so many of you come out to Results Canada's 40th anniversary celebration last Friday.
We had a ton of fun reconnecting with Results volunteers both old and new, and hearing from all of you about what this work means to you.
Let's keep going!
Today is #WorldMeningitisDay.
For Isabell Wachera, meningitis was not a single moment of illness. After years of seizures, headaches and being told nothing was wrong, she was finally diagnosed with TB meningitis in 2023. She is still living with the after-effects today.
Now, she is using her experience to help others recognise the signs earlier and feel less alone.

Meningitis can begin with symptoms that seem easy to dismiss.
For 21-year-old Lucas Martin, it started with a headache and feeling run down. Within days, he had lost his life to bacterial meningitis.
For #WorldMeningitisDay, his father Brett shares Lucas’ story, the speed with which everything changed and the legacy his son has left behind.

This is what it looks like to get Results!
Last weekend, we drove down to Toronto to connect with our volunteer advocates.
Our panel featured Mark Brender from @PIHCanada, Jeanne from the Stephen Lewis Foundation's Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign and Maria Guardado, a former Results Fellow. They gave our attendees hard-won wisdom gleaned from years of experience in advocacy.
Then we wrote postcards to our Members of Parliament, letting them know their constituents oppose Canada's aid cuts.
Thank you also to everyone who came out to our meet-ups in Pickering and Brampton to link up with fellow volunteers in their area. You are the engine behind everything we achieve and it was a such pleasure to be together.
We left feeling proud by our passionate and dedicated grassroots and re-energized for our next campaigns to ensure Canada steps up to build a healthier, more stable world for all 🌎

Results Canada was in New York last week!
We went to help hold Canada accountable at the UN General Assembly.
We followed key announcements, engaged with decision-makers and partners, and connected Canada’s commitments to the advocacy happening back home.

BREAKING: new polling shows that the majority of Canadians want to see Canada step up for the world's children. But we can't do that if we keep cutting our aid budget. Tell your MP that Canada must STOP THE CUTS in Budget 2026.

Road trip time 🛻 ! We were so thrilled to be in the GTA this past weekend to connect with our volunteer advocates and meet some new faces.
A big thanks to all who came to our Toronto event Saturday on why Canada must meet the moment and stop cuts to aid funding with our panel featuring Mark Brender from @PIHCanada, Jeanne from the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign and María Guardado, a former Results Fellow. Next, we went over effective communication before putting it into practice by writing postcards to our Members of Parliament letting them know their constituents oppose Canada's aid cuts.
Thank you also to everyone who came out to our meet-ups in Pickering and Brampton to link up with fellow volunteers in their area. You are the engine behind everything we achieve and it was a such pleasure to be together.

Another proud Canadian moment in New York as Secretary of State @randeepssarai just announced that Canada will pledge $36 million to help respond to the deadly Ebola outbreak in the DRC at the @UN High Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response.
We welcome this commitment and Sarai's statement that "the best time to prepare for the next pandemic is before it begins." Because outbreaks like Ebola must never be the new normal.

Today, world leaders are gathered at the United Nations in New York for a High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response to discuss how they will step up for global health security.
We'll be watching closely.
For Canada, this is an opportunity to show leadership and help ensure the world – and our country – are better prepared before the next crisis arrives.
Canada has long played a role in international health efforts and we will let you know how that legacy progresses at the meeting later today.

Toronto, we can't wait to see you on Saturday!

At #UNGA81, Secretary of State Sarai reaffirmed Canada’s support for the Declaration for the Protection of Humanitarian Personnel.
Keeping humanitarian workers safe is essential so they can continue delivering life-saving help to people affected by crises.
