Iβve wept the weight of my heart into my hands, each tear carrying a memory too precious to lose.
Oreo, you made every second of my life brighter while you were here, and now I hold tightly to the embers of your presence.
Thank you, @coconutcubbie, Iβll cherish them forever. β€οΈ

Tbh that's so worth it, not just for marathon but GhostRunner 1 and 2 and the entire Crysis trilogy is awesome.
Two years without my puppy, Oreo.
I wish life had given us more time together. You deserved so much more...
I still remember holding you in my arms, telling you how much I loved you as you slipped away.
I miss you, my sweet boy...
And I always will.
This is what happens when you forget what made BioWare legendary: unforgettable stories, incredible worlds, and choices that truly mattered.
Instead, you let corporate greed and "woke/modern gaming" trends take over.
To the Devs: Thank you
Corpos: F. YOU.
We deserved better.

Found this log on a terminal in Cryo Archive's Panopticon:
14:03:25 A1 5.2 10.4
14:15:42 B2 4.8 12.7
14:28:10 C3 3.6 8.3
14:40:55 D4 6.1 15.2
14:53:18 E5 4.3 9.1
15:05:37 F6 5.7 11.0
15:18:02 G7 3.9 7.5
15:30:26 H8 6.3 14.6
15:43:11
I9 4.5 10.0
β A1 β H8 is the long diagonal of a chessboard. All dark squares. A *******BISHOPS***** path, from one *****ROOK**** corner to the other.
I9 doesn't exist. No I file, no 9th rank. The last move is OFF THE BOARD, and it's the only line on the screen that's broken.
A1, B2, C3 is how the game tags runners. 9 entries = 3 trios = a full lobby.
One entry every ~12.5 min, two readings each. A watcher doing rounds. PANOP IS WHERE YOU SURVEIL
A ***BISBOP*** on the long diagonal sees the whole board.
That's a panopticon.
I was C3. Lowest readings on the board.
So who moved off the board?
Never, ever, in your entire life, do anything even remotely resembling this. If that tree has even a bit of rot inside, it splinters, breaks, and falls on you. This is staged nonsense for clicks.
The double standard around AAA game development is wild. Especially when it comes to Squadron 42 and Star Citizen
Why is it "let them cook" when Rockstar spends 12+ years and over $1.5B behind closed doors, but "it's a scam" when Cloud Imperium Games builds two massive games, one in wide open development?
Let's look at the starting lines for both companies.
1. Rockstar: 25+ years of infrastructure, thousands of veteran developers, dedicated mocap stages, and that development team with their own proprietary RAGE engine with years upon years of prior experience
2. CIG in 2012: Zero employees, zero studios, and an off-the-shelf CryEngine branch that was never built for space.
3. Rockstar tried the multi-project model at peak AAA fidelity and literally couldn't do it.
To ship RDR2 and GTA VI, they:
β’ Shelved Bully 2
β’ Canceled Agent
β’ Scrapped all GTA V single-player DLC
β’ Consolidated ALL global studios to focus on ONE game at a time.
Meanwhile, @CloudImperium took the insane (probably irresponsible at the time) route, simultaneously building the Persistent Universe (Star Citizen/MMO) AND a 40β60 hour cinematic single-player campaign (Squadron 42).
All while engineering brand-new tech from scratch: 64-bit coordinate positioning, nested physics grids, and Server Meshing.
Now let's look at the cost & timeline comparison:
β’ GTA VI: 12+ years of R&D, estimated $1Bβ$2B total budget.
β’ Star Citizen + SQ42: ~13 years, ~. $1 billion + crowdfunded across BOTH titles combined.
One gets praised for perfectionism. The other gets called vaporware.
Let's call the difference..
"The Black Box vs. Open Dev"
figured it was a good analogy...
Rockstar hides their scrapped code, engine rewrites, and pipeline crises, internal strife behind professional death sentence NDAs until a polished trailer drops.
CIG lets players play the alpha live (all bugs included) .
So You experience every bug and server crash in real time as the tech gets solved and. Continues To Grow and change .
CIG Is Now a studio with 1,000+ developers, custom server architecture, and a live universe played by hundreds of thousands every week that isn't a "scam."
Rockstar proves scale takes massive time and money. CIG just refused to hide the mess behind PR silence. Has the project been perfect?. Hell no.. But this doesn't change the principle of the comparison.
That's the price of crowd funding I guess.
