Today we depart #SantiagodeCompostela for #Madrid via train. Yesterday we attended the Pilgrim’s Mass at the Cathedral and were able to view the swinging of the Botafumeiro. #CaminodeSantiago #BuenCamino #CaminoPortugues

Today over 26km and we arrived in #SantiagodeCompostela Our #Pilgrimage is complete or does it ever end? It has been the experience of a lifetime and I hope to complete another #Camino some day. #CaminoPortugues #BuenCamino

We are now in #Padron arriving yesterday from #CaldasdeReis. We met Julia on the way on her second Camino. She prefers the #CaminoFrancesb to the #CaminoPortugues. Today we began our final day of our journey….

We have completed day 11 of our #pilgrimage to #SantiagodeCompostela it was an enjoyable walk from #Pontevedra to #CaldasdeReis. Almost 25 km
It was a little warm but some shady paths helped. #BuenCamino #CaminoPortugues

Today our journey took us a relatively short distance from #Vilaboa to #Pontevedra 10km
The walk along the Rio Tomeza was exceptional. We attended a Pilgrim’s Mass at the Santuario de la Virgen Peregrina. A small church with standing room only. #BuenCamino #CaminoPortugues

We are now in the final stages of our #pilgrimage to #SantiagodeCompostela Yesterday our journey took us from #Vigo to #Vilaboa on the #CaminoPortuguese Although it was a strenuous 25km the trail through lush green forest was the best yet. #BuenCamino

Yesterday we completed our 8th day of #pilgrimage. Our journey took us from #Ramallosa to #Vigo. I must say it was a “grind” and tested my patience. Fortunately today is a rest day and tomorrow we begin the final 5 days to #SantiagodeCompostela #BuenCamino #CaminoPortugues

We have completed over half of our pilgrimage to #SantiagodeCompostela
Today our journey took us from Oia to A Ramallosa. Rather than walk along the ocean on the Senda Litoral we took the Coastal Route steep trail over the mountain. The views were spectacular. #BuenCamino

We’ve now completed six days of our #pilgrimage on the #CaminodeSantiago Our journey took us from A Guarda to Oia, mostly in the rain. However the beauty of the coastline was not diminished. #BuenCamino

Day five of our #CaminoPortugues is complete. It was a short day which included a river crossing into #Espana
Farewell to #Portugal and hola to #Spain !! We thoroughly enjoyed Portugal, thank you for your hospitality!

Our journey continued on day four. We walked the #PortuguesCamino #CoastalRoute from Viano de Castelo to @PraiaAncora 18km. Again, fantastic scenery and ocean views. Day five is a rest day and we resume our pilgrimage Monday. #BomCaminho #CaminodeSantiago

Day three: Esposende to Viana do Castelo over 22km. Beautiful stretches through natural areas. However the steep, rocky trails took a toll on my knees. I’m not complaining, after all it’s a pilgrimage!! #CaminoPortuguese

Yesterday was day two on the #CaminoPortugues
We walked from @povoadevarzim to #Esposende approximately 20km. It was another fine day on our journey to @CatedralStgo

We met Ella who attended @CalPoly and is walking alone. She is a wonderful young lady.

We walked over 27KM. It will be one of the longest days of our pilgrimage to #SantiagodeCompostela
