The 1995 anime Mobile Suit Gundam Wing debuted in America in the year 2000 and the series found great success in the United States even though it was only a modest success in Japan and popularized the Gundam franchise in the West.

Lightspeed Electroid Albegas (1983) was going to be part of the Americanized anime Voltron (1984) but after the Vehicle Voltron part of series was not as successful as the Lion Voltron part of the series, this idea was scrapped.
The Americanized anime Voltron from (1984) was to be created by using footage from Mirai Robo Daltanious (1979). But when the makers of the series asked for the footage of "the ones with the lion." they were instead sent footage of Beast King GoLion (1981)
