Back in the late ‘70s we got our Star Wars fix any way we could get it- no matter the source. So if sitting through an episode of the Donnie and Marie variety show on September 23rd, 1977 was the only way I could again see Chewbacca, the droids and stormtroopers than so be it.
I go through dozens of daily searches on eBay digging through the strata of listings to uncover a rare vintage gem and here is today's discovery!

I love the Burroughs-esque concept of a hidden primordial world in modern day Antarctica, the Savage Land. Hope that Disney someday brings this into the MCU.
Saturday morning commercials from 1978 ~ The @ABCNetwork had the moral high ground on Saturday mornings what with their variety of educational interstitials. The two seen in this montage have lived rent free in my head for nearly 50 years.
