Still waiting for your explanation.
Donโt you know how gases work?
Do you know the states of matter?
I see you really bring to the table to discuss.
What is your purpose on here anyway?
As all normal people know, the Earth is a slowly rotating oblate spheroid. In plain language: a sphere that turns once a day and bulges slightly at the equator.
Round, spinning, bulged, and wrapped in air. Every one of those traces back to a single thing - the one thing Flerfs hate most, even though most of them could not explain why.
Gravity.
Gravity drives the formation of rotating worlds. Matter in space almost never collapses with perfectly zero angular momentum. There is always some tiny leftover twist. As gravity pulls that matter inward, conservation of angular momentum winds up the rotation, the same way a skater spins faster by pulling her arms in. Gravity does not need a magic size threshold to make rotation relevant. From dust clouds to planets to stars to galaxies, collapse and rotation go together.
Gravity makes things round. Once a body grows large enough - roughly 200 to 300 kilometers in radius, depending on whether it is rock, ice, or metal - its own gravity overwhelms the strength of the material holding it in irregular shapes. Below that, you get tumbling potatoes like Phobos. Above that, you get worlds. Gravity pulls mass toward the center, and large bodies settle into spheres.
Then spin reshapes that sphere. A rotating world pushes outward most strongly at the equator, turning a sphere into an oblate spheroid. On Earth, the equatorial radius is about 21 kilometers greater than the polar radius. The sphere comes from gravity. The spin comes from gravitational collapse and angular momentum. The bulge is what happens when the two meet at the equator.
And gravity holds the air. A massive enough world keeps an atmosphere because its escape velocity is high enough that gas molecules do not simply fly away into space. No dome. No wall. No container. Just gravity, holding roughly five thousand trillion tons of air to a rotating planet.
Spin, shape, bulge, atmosphere. One cause underneath the whole system. Gravity.
The flat Earther is required to deny gravity - the force responsible for the ground under his feet, the air in his lungs, and the round rotating world he insists is flat and still.
Gravity is not the flat Earther's inconvenient detail.
It is his ultimate enemy.
@Scott_Brian30@alexboge@hesido Keep going. You are just as stupid. See it goes both ways. You think we live on a ball that is spinning and moving in many directions with no evidence to support that. You worship science fiction. Donโt be a fool and jump in to someone elseโs conversation. Sod off globetard!
