@ispypaulspies@tonywarriner They’ll be KS1 and KS2 versions hitting the second hand market the moment people start getting their hands on their new KS3 versions.
@tonywarriner I’m upgrading from a KS1 to a KS3, but I bought just a normal black one. Fingers crossed it gets here before Christmas?! No worries though, the first one had a little wait.
@VirtualJames@rip_dean I’ve got a 3010, they do indeed have the green keys. I remember the Beeb Masters getting swapped out for A3000s, then some A3020 getting bought for the school library years later.
@VirtualJames They sure where - but holding R down and powering them on, was a sneaky way to make them look broken. Don’t do it, it’s a pain to put right, since it resets the CMOS.
@VirtualJames@nyimski There’s some fun little demos and games that take advantage of the extra colours.
You know this hobby never ends! There’s always some clever so’n’so making fancy things and software to push these old machines just a little bit further! 🤓
If you’ve got a ZX Spectrum Next, or still waiting on delivery, but would like to make your own games - you might like this https://t.co/gVGouTxHIY It would be nice to get past the £42K goal mark!
@dandouglas It might be possible to bring the CPC back to life? There’s plenty of people who make old computers working again. I’ve even done it, and I’m no expert.
