It's hard to describe the Chromatic experience.
Reliving my favorites AND enjoying all new games (in the 21st century!) is enjoyable beyond words. What a time to be alive.
To the entire @modretro team, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I believe the year was 1998. One wonderful summer's day, I went on a yard sale crawl with my mom. At one stop we met this very nice lady who was clearing out her son's bedroom who had gone off to college.
Like a scene out of a movie, after chatting with my mom for a bit she asked if my brothers and I had any video games at home (we only had a Game Gear), she walked into her house and came out with a box filled with an original Nintendo Entertainment System, all different kinds of controllers including the light gun and arcade joystick pictured here, the track and field running pad, and about 40 games. I could not believe what I was seeing and my mom said thank you but there was no way we could afford that.
The nice lady said, "If you have $20 you can afford it."
There was never a happier kid riding home than I was that day.
In the years thereafter my brothers and I had many different consoles and that particular set of hardware was either lost, sold, or who knows what. Bringing these two controllers home from a local thrift shop today has brought back a wave of memories (I don't yet know if they even work, and still $15 well spent!).
I hope you've enjoyed this small one I've shared 🧡😆
