DOOM II dropped in 1994, right in the middle of the grunge era, and the devs at id Software were basically heavy metal PC nerds making the darkest game they could imagine. A map called “Nirvana” was created, and right at the beginning you could grab a shotgun. #RetroReplayFYI
Who wins? I have my money on Samus, pretty sure Mega Mans code prohibits him from harming humans anyway. There probably are not any heart or anger emojis on Twitter, I am just not interested in remaking these graphics for a platform I can not gain traction on.
On 30 April 97, 'Wild Arms' released for the PS1 and it only took a few minutes to hook me. A JRPG with classic turn-based combat in a world that blended fantasy and the wild west (and an amazing soundtrack!), this was an amazing experience through and through.

These games were awesome. Being a huge fan of the first, I would rent the sequels from video game stores. They were all so amazing. We really had everything we needed entertainment wise back then, with zero political injections.
