Hello and welcome to my Retro Media Room! Here on X and my YouTube channel, I'm all about nostalgia and love of physical media across games, movies, and music.
@JamieMoranUK Not unplayable, but my buddy and I ran into bugs and issues in online co-op that it didn't have on 360. Still having a great time, it's just annoying and even funny at times. Particularly with turrets, dont let player 2 use turrets Lol
@GameReviewGuy The 2013 game had 3 seasons (3rd season is by Celldweller which is also great) of characters and stages.
Here's season 1 👇

@GameReviewGuy Oh dude, you've GOT to check out the two seasons of stage music Mick did for this game, absolutely incredible stuff, easily the greatest fighting game soundtrack of all time.
Today marks the 25th anniversary of Max Payne, published on July 24, 2001. It's still one of the most atmospheric and immersive games I ever played.
You take on the role of NYPD detective Max Payne, whose wife and daughter were murdered by addicts high on the drug Valkyr. Framed for the killings, you're a one-man army starting a war against the mob, finding clues and proving your innocence.
Far more than “just” a shooter, Max Payne had a cool film-noir atmosphere with excellent cutscenes and a complex, evolving story. The slow-motion sequences always reminded me of "The Matrix", and the soundtrack greatly added to the dark, oppressive mood.
It was a massive hit, selling over 4 million copies and had two sequels. Likely unfamiliar to younger gamers today, but those a bit older will surely remember Max Payne.
Shigeru Miyamoto is the GOAT, I would follow him into battle, and I fully approve his idea of bringing back the WiiU. Poor marketing meant the console under performed, but I loved mine and still champion it to this day 🙌
I feel like 90% of my gaming existence is THINKING about playing games, looking through my backlog of games I haven’t played, or researching games that I can add to my backlog of games I haven’t played🤣
PSN servers going down today meanwhile they’re trying to push an all digital world narrative has to be the funniest shit to happen to a company this week. The IRONY.
I have a few related predictions:
PS6 will sell terribly. It will still sell out of course but volume will be well below that PS4/5 did around launch and scalpers will barely make money on them.
People will assume it's the high price ($699-$899 range likely) or digital-only.
The real answer is most games will release simultaneously on PS5 for a few years, and there won't be compelling enough PS6 games to overcome the greater friction to buy one.
It always comes back to games. Games sell consoles.
I've noticed that it's mainly hard-core digital only, physical media hating Pony accounts, that are jerks and keep attacking anyone that simply want to own their own physical copies.
It's hardly ever the other way around, it's almost like one side is deranged or something...
@justin_author I agree with that, I myself am not caught up in either extremes, I've got a copy of the new Onimusha pre-ordered and I'm excited to get it.
It's been revealed Spain is getting a Physical 4K UHD release of the iconic Robin Williams classic - Mrs. Doubtfire - on 28th September.
It's likely releases for other countries will be announced in the near future.
Love the artwork!!
