The problem is that you don’t make it clear from the start that the physical release will require a download to be able to play. Your excuse is a joke. If you can’t get all the copies to arrive at launch date just send digital codes to those that won’t receive it on time

For us the most important thing is that people can play on launch date and time. To achieve that we sent out copies earlier.

Gothic 1 Remake will need a download of around 5 GB on launch day and will then be fully playable offline - NO permanent internet connection is needed.

@BethesdaStudios Do publishers really not understand why people ask for a physical release? We are not in the business of cleaning dust off of clutter on our shelves. We want the product properly preserved on a card or disc without being at your mercy of maintaining servers.
