@ClutchGenes_A1 I always just imagined he would've used the goober before Prowler arrived to stop him, let him shut down the machine and focus on the fight entirely. It's Goblin's attack that forced him into the beam that seriously damaged him. Doesn't happen if it's turned off.
@TheTumboy We can see how possessed Nikki is constantly trying to appease Bear throughout the film, so I think it's just constantly improvising as it fulfills the wish conditions. Suppressing real Nikki might've made it think retracting steps to reset was viable.
@Alex_Hedgefox2 How is he not? He doesn't believe in his ability to survive this or protect Chip. He IS doubtful about beating this opponent. It's what the whole scene is designed for, to build up Dark Gaia. Being confident in a loss is being doubtful of a win.
@mis0b_ Why is this now not a confidence problem? He's faced unwinnable odds before. If they were to stick true to his "always positive, never doubtful" mantra, he'd quip about how this looks like a tough fight and get right to it. Instead, he is worried because of his own powerlessness.
@mis0b_ It is absolutely still emotional because it's driven by fear and self-doubt. It is literally a lack of confidence. The simple, undeniable power of his enemy made him worried about his survivability, to which he told his friend to run for fear of both their deaths.
@A21starman@Alex_Hedgefox2 Yeah?... Part of the argument is that Sonic has more reason to be doubtful in the Metal Virus arc, but I'm talking about how he's expressed fear before rather than being completely indomitable.
@Alex_Hedgefox2 You're reiterating that Sonic does not falter when the situation demands resolve and resolve alone, which was never disputed. The point is that the metal virus had logistics OUTSIDE of one's own mental fortitude necessary for success that worried Sonic. Same way he worried in pic
@Alex_Hedgefox2 Sonic is allowed to experience fear and doubt. He simply does not succumb to them. They do not prevent him from living his life. Even in Unleashed, he becomes scared and doubtful of his own odds, but he does not remain in that state. Plus, it help that the situation changed.
@Alex_Hedgefox2 I get having Sonic as a paragon of self confidence, but these feel like two different contexts. The metal virus could not be overcome with faith/courage alone. It required them to be tactical and having Sonic shrug off the issue seems ignorant and apathetic over confident.
@glotreen We see how her seismic vision details people. It's like echolocation through earthbending. She'd have a 3D image of her environment the same way a bat or dolphin does, including minute details like the ants she sees when explaining it to Aang.
@SEGAstatio@KingpinThawne Their similarity sounds kinda boring to pair up then. Two static characters that influence the world being uninfluenced by each other cuz they simply agree. Having Knuckles relate while having a different perspective is nice minor conflict, no?
@SputzeeD@JoyMoone That seemingly inconsolable conflict between cats and dogs is what's used to describe how foreign and mismatched they feel being trans. Not that they'll harm the other party, more they can't relate or fit in like the rest do. Interpreting violence rather than ostracisation is 🚫
@ColdCriti It's not meant to be a newfound discovery for the viewers. It's a reminder. For Frieren, its her first time truly understanding it, but it's all stuff you are meant to be familiar with. A resounding truth for all of humanity that deserves to be reinforced.
@Soci0o@HxHVizuals Ironically, that panel is him feeling empathy. Pitou's plight is understandable to him but conflicts with the idea of the monster that killed Kite. He's in anguish grappling with the humanity present in something he convinced himself was pure evil.
@imnicoharu@SyrobeNA@auzziejlee The GOW clip is specifically played in a boring way. They can risk the harder close-quarters combat instead of keeping their distance. They're using their ranged option correctly, sure, but they're also clearly ignoring the rest of their moveset.
