@JonFlan@TheBeatWithAri Today, right after I caught your last name, I typed "Ari Melber Flannery" into Google, and I knew it was you as soon as I saw the Robert Redford comparisons... because that's exactly what I was thinking, too!
@RadioFreeTom@TheAtlantic I see your point but I think you underestimate the level of suffering in this country as well as the vicious greed at the higher levels.
My friend Andriana is seriously injured. She is a courageous woman. She went to defend our country in the spring of 2014 in sneakers and with no equipment. She was among those who liberated the Kharkiv region and Kherson. We believe that everything will be fine ๐
@RadioFreeTom This photo makes me wonder why the forces of evolution haven't rendered house cats lactose intolerant. Or perhaps they were, before humans domesticated cattle.
@NikaMelkozerova If I had any kind of clout at all, I would nominate this as Photo of the Year for a major news publication. Because it's really, really striking. Stay strong out there, Nika.
@Agnewevents @RBot0@SykesCharlie My interpretation of the โthe language of an activistโ is the activist's perception of the truth, as opposed to objective truth. For both far left and far right activists.
Germany says it must consult with NATO about sending Patriot batteries to defend Ukraine airspace.
NATO chief says, no, there's no need to consult, Germany is perfectly free to send the Patriots if it wishes.
Apparently, Germany doesn't wish it. https://t.co/0mF7lVPaqr
@NikaMelkozerova It's hard to find a silver lining on this terrible Ukrainian thundercloud, but I am happy that radio technology was invented โ and that Ukrainians have functioning radios โ so that at least people have a few moments to seek shelter.
@yanamrzv Wish that you were vacationing in Colorado, I would want to hang out with you. Because you seem like a cool person who would have lots of interesting things to say. In any case, sorry that you're feeling really lonely. I know what that's like.
@TheStanislawski Stas Olenchenko, when I witnessed Ukrainians standing up for themselves at Maidan, and fighting back, and winning, I think that was the single most inspiring thing that I have ever witnessed in my life. With Zelenskyy's "I need weapons, not a ride" moment being close behind.
@anneapplebaum In the Russian culture that I have come to know, it seems to be a badge of honor to act as barbarically, dishonorably, heartlessly, and thuggishly as one can get away with. And it appears that many Americans are now choosing to embrace that nihilism as well. It's shocking.
@RadioFreeTom I have always liked to believe that we Gen Xers have a prime directive of "be excellent to each other, and don't do things that are uncool". But then I realized how many of my peers are MAGA jackasses, and it's really upsetting. We were supposed to be better than this.
@NikaMelkozerova Nika, is there any other place we can interact with you, besides Twitter? I mean, we don't even know how much longer this platform might even exist. And I always like hearing what you have to say.
