Raising the profile of the UK government's implementation of retrospective taxation going back 20 years. I believe in freedom of speech and the rule of law.
This is Sean Egan. He joined Morrisons at the age of 17.
After 29 years of dedication at supermarket chain, he was dismissed for confronting a shoplifter, which led to a scuffle with thief who spat at him.
A shameful decision by @Morrisons.
He should be thanked, not sacked.
HMRC keeps pushing its deeply flawed and punitive #LoanCharge to keep the focus off its own inaction and ineptitude over two decades. This #HMRC policy has lead to 11 suicides an misery for tens of thousands.
'Historians will recoil when they study the horrors of the #loancharge, a catastrophically flawed policy which has been linked with 11 suicides and, according to new evidence, inflicted considerable costs on the taxpayer.' @loanchargeAPPG

Talking of government scandals
@IntelligenceUK1 are you aware of a COVERT psychology experiment @HMRCgovuk performed on 1200 individuals without their knowledge?
Did HMRC’s “experiment” result in any of the 11 reported Loan Charge suicides?

The #LoanCharge has been a profound failure. As well as 11 suicides it has cost £186 million since it came into force in 2019. In that time HMRC only achieved 800 settlements with individuals totalling £44m. We’ve written to @CommonsPAC urging an inquiry.
