This is one of the new profiles that I'm working on to Retrotink 4KCE by the master @retrotink2

On the left, we have the custom profile, and on the right, the Mega Drive Model 1 connected directly to Retrotink to take advantage of its filters and corrections

Optimized for #megadrive #genesis to use in games thats use a lot of dither to achieve effects.

Will be a version with HDR and RGB. Stay tunned

Hyperkin previously sold a TG16/PCE AV adapter that omitted proper output buffering/conditioning and essentially connected expansion-bus signals straight to consumer equipment. When I publicly demonstrated the problem, Hyperkin admitted that keeping the design “as basic as it gets” was a calculated decision.

Now they’re selling power supplies.

Power is the LAST place you cheap out, cut corners, or accept “good enough” engineering. Get voltage regulation, protection, polarity, filtering, or transient behavior wrong and you’re no longer talking about a bad picture or flaky controller. You can damage irreplaceable hardware.

I cannot tell anyone this new product is unsafe without testing it. But given my documented experience with their engineering decisions, I would not connect one to ANY console I care about.

Old hardware deserves properly engineered power. Please spread this around.
