@GreyAlien I sold all of it around 2005 when collecting was getting big and made a few thousand quid from it all. Bizarrely I had rescued about 200 ZX81 replacement squishy keyboard parts from a bin back in the day and sold them on early eBay individually for several years!
@GreyAlien The US games were a lot slicker than most UK ones. We imported a lot of C64 and Atari Disk games until US gold was established. I remember a very over the top champagne party at the distributor when US gold was launched. I got a massive amount of oneoff freebies and promo items.
@GreyAlien Yep forgot the amstrads. The early ones were very unreliable. The Amigas and Atari ST were only just out when I left to go do other things. We also has Apple 2 but only had wizardry and the Infocom text adventures for it as it was in the business section with some 8086 pc's.
@GreyAlien I ran it from 1981 to 1988. We had ZX80, 81, Vic 20, Atari 800/400 on demo at first. Also had odder things like the video genie, Sharp and Ti/99a. Spectrums, Oric, Acorns, Dragons, Aquarius, MSX, C16, C64 a bit later. I liked the Atari best as we had ton of imported USA Disks.
@SheRa_Marley@ajohnduncan Most arms need setting up if it's a decent deck. You probably have a weight issue on the arm. There is probably a way to adjust the weight so that the stylus settles into the groove without being too light or heavy. Too light and it will skip, too heavy will cause wear.
@ElectriCheese@StuartMaconie I used to have a VHS of a 80's concert which had the track on it. Can't say that I have heard it since but it has obviously stuck in the old noggin!
