The decision was contained in an official press release issued today by INEC’s National Commissioner Mohammed Kudu Haruna (Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee), and aims to comply with preservatory orders from the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Ors.

You’re a big account with well over 100k followers, which means you likely earn at least $700 every week. Are you saying you couldn’t save up to ₦1m of your own money to contribute to your surgery?

Let’s even leave aside the fact that people weren’t clearly told the donations were only for one leg. How much have you personally contributed so far? Because from the outside, it looks like you’re doing better than a lot of the people being asked to donate.

Earning close to a million naira every two weeks from revenue and gigs, yet people who are not even sure where their next meal will come from are expected to give from what little they have to send you to Egypt just doesn’t sit right.
