@yeehawtheboys In reo Māori one word for pub is ‘pāparakāuta’, kāuta being shed/cookhouse. Pāpara sounds like a transliteration from pub.
Been to a few South Auckland ones in mid-late 2000’s and they were a good safe intimate place to start or finish a night.
