@averse_side@GloriaRosa202 Those base are projected and coming, you know it. You had some independence with Duterte, who was clever enough to play off both China and US. Instead you pick a fight with the soon to be World #1 economy while US puts tariffs on PH exports. Brilliant.
@mrbcyber Waving numbers and pointing fingers makes you feel good and superior, doesn’t it? Yes, there were deaths in the course of a massive revolutionary upheaval in China. Famines, however, are not executions. China changed course, revived, and now enjoys a great standard of living.
@averse_side@GloriaRosa202 Get real US is building new bases in Batanes and Palawan, will take back Subic. PH military is even holding drills with your old pals the Japanese. Every SE Asian country cooperating with China is thriving, PH economy has pathetic 2 % growth, poverty rising…Good luck.
What I thought before going to China and after...
Before 👇
- Dangerous on the streets, not safe
- I could be wrongly accused of a crime
- Family members told me I shouldn't go
- There's no freedom
- People live under heavy gov. control
Western media had taught me that China was an authoritarian, polluted and had serious political and social problems.
After 👇
- Streets 10x safer than back home
- Police were nice, helpful and friendly
- Everyone was living their life, like us
- Trains actually came on time..weird
- All the people I met were so helpful
- Incredible sense of community
Western media implanted a fake perception of China, not just to me and my family, but everyone.
I'm grateful we now live in a world where the western media aren't automatically believed.
I had to find out the truth by visiting myself.

Here's my advice.
Don't believe what you're told, do your own research.
Go visit China yourself ♥️🇨🇳
@averse_side@GloriaRosa202 C'mon, have a go,
if you think
you're hard enough.
You could have had a high speed rail line with Belt and Road, instead you get more US bases, bargirl jobs, and mixed race kids. I hope the sabre rattling was worth it.
@GordonGChang There is no state-sponsored racial hatred, no discrimination in society, no ethnic cleansing or expulsion from land, none of that. Patriotism in Chinese education bothers you, that is clear.
@winterliberty76@antikommunistic And you know what? China changed course, moved on, and rose to greatness, which we enjoy here now. The Chinese know what happened but view those events against the great swath of history here. Cope harder.
@LordofGrange@antikommunistic Hello? Resident of China here. It doesn’t look anything remotely like that here. More like peaceful, prosperous, and crime-free, something the West can only dream of these days. Come and have a look for yourself, your Lordship, I think you can afford it.
