Joy is an interesting thing. You can still find it when your heart is heavy, when you are devastated, when you are lost for words, when you are anxious, and when you are weary. Joy is not measured by our circumstances. No, joy is measured by the strength found in the LORD.
Don't expend all of your energy trying to get out of the wilderness. You might miss what God wants you to learn through it. Lean in. (Jeremiah 10:23-25)
For the record, I agree with you @ryanyazel. If your ”obedience” to the Bible doesn't make you look more like Jesus, you are wrong. I was using the word “right” loosely.
What keeps us from loving our neighbors is fear of what will happen if we do. Frankly, what scares me more is thinking of what will happen if we don’t.
