@CelinaDeLancey @LTCLdnOnt@LdnOntBikeCafe My cats definitely prefer the ebike to being in a car! Though they prefer walking, and also my route isn't along a busy road!
@HammyTeaTime I've found adulthood to be a real struggle in this regard! I still don't know a lot of people where I live, and miss having it be easy to have social time.
@aliversluis @Libraried @msmelmills Our CA doesn't have that clause, sadly. Western's weather policy used to say something to that effect, but thsy quietly changed it sometime last year.
@tomflood1 So long as cars come equipped with noise cancelling and stereo systems, telling pedestrians headphones are unsafe will always feel disingenuous
Expanding #LdnOnt’s cycling network is consistent with all of these other goals you mention. We’ve waited too long to plan & implement a network that’s usable and safe for all ages. It will benefit all Londoners, will be cost effective, and must be a priority for the new council.
@bromptonymous @drewdrifting A mandatory retest for anyone who got a ticket every time they got a ticket would be an interesting incentive not to drive recklessly
@LdnOntBikeCafe I asked why we aren't installing protected lanes and the answer was two fold, Colborne in this area is not wide enough (but apparently wide enough for street parking) and people don't drive over 40 there (hahahahahahaha). We can do better @CityofLdnOnt@mhamou.
@CelinaDeLancey @WesternU@UWOSA@LTCLdnOnt Even better would be automatic bus pass enrollment so even employees who drive will be incentivized to try the bus occasionally
