At NTH@C, we try to #NTHCinnovate and learn more about issues to help in some way— whether it be spreading awareness, volunteering, or something else. In #ChemAtNTHC we learned about ocean acidity. As environmental issues such as this happen, we have to step up #forearthssake2024

In @thehaleyarroyo ‘s #ChemAtNTHC class, we learned about #NationalChemistryWeek and the #ACS_NCW contest. We were encouraged to #NTHCinnovate, and we all made poems about radioactive/nuclear chemistry. (I did not enter, but) good luck to everyone who entered the competition!!!

National chemistry week inspired me to take a look into #ChemMatters. One chemistry-related matter was Gas Laws & Scuba Diving, which I found to be very interesting! #ChemAtNTHC has been fun so far, big thanks to our teacher @thehaleyarroyo, who encourages us to #NTHCInnovate!

The iPads also show no signs of being sanitized. Before the next school year has even started, students report that the iPads, keyboards, and Apple Pencils are laggy, slow, and unclean. 🧵(1/2).

Proposition B promised tech upgrades to schools in @Coppellisd. However, at @NewTechCoppell, instead of our MacBooks (we would have been happy to keep,) we got iPads with stains, scratches, and missing pieces. We weren’t even asking to get our MacBooks upgraded or get newer ones.

On May 24th, @Coppellisd announced the switch from MacBooks to iPads for @NewTechCoppell. However, this decision leads to many complications for New Tech (details in the flyer below). Please help us #Keep_NTHC_MacBooks!

In Mrs. @Bence_EDU's English class at New Tech, we learned about #WomensHistoryMonth2023. We want to recognize Asha Bhosle for her endless contributions to music, acting, and storytelling. She #NTHCinspire us to keep going and pursue our passions.

Ms. Edmonia Lewis’ superpower is bringing light to the world with her visions and art, and bringing more creativity into seemingly “boring” places.

For #BlackHistoryMonth2023, I wanted to recognize Mary Edmonds Lewis, the first professional BIPOC sculptor in the USA. Even boring places, such as a car garage, could light up with her work. She saw things others didn‘t and brought light and creativity with her art.

I had a lot of fun working on this and researching about Ms. Edmonia Lewis’ work. She is an inspiration to #nthcinspire and is a role model for aspiring artists.
