The weather on the Big Island is more diverse than any island or comparably sized chunk of land in the world. You name it, we got it. According to the Köppen Climate Classification System (our favorite system), the Big Island has 10 of the 15 types of climatic zones in the world.

The view from the Kalalau Lookout. This part of the island is always stunning, and if you catch it at the right moment you can see all the colors of the rainbow in one valley.
We’ve heard of people getting waterfall fatigue from traveling the Hana highway, but honestly, we have yet to experience it.
The over Poipu are looking pretty great these days.
