@chambleebrandel Brandel, I thought you were against Saudi money. Now that, that is removed, if you were an aspiring golfer and had not made it to PGA would you he glad there are other options and opportunities. It is incredibly hard to get a KF card or PGA card.
Are you Calvinist?
Have you been taught that a major concern of the Bible is that we should be careful to not try to earn our salvation through works?
Is it possible that that concern has been magnified so much that Christians do not feel as much responsibility to be transformed and to be zealous for good works?
In addition, did you know there is a significant difference between “works of the law” and “good works.”
Did you know the Bible was not concerned about you doing “good works,” in fact it calls you to them, but that the same Bible warns you to not try to please God through “works of the law.”
I am truly not seeking to offend in this statement but it is a fact that needs to be said strongly and clearly. It is a travesty to the church that so many are ignorant on these issues.
It will edify the church knowing that God wants our service to him and that it actually reveals true faith.
I would encourage all to listen to both teachings on James 1 and 2.

James 2

God does want you to be about “good works.”
God does not want the Christian to revert to “works of the law.”
Knowing this difference will help your understanding of the Gospel and whole New Testament.

Why does God seem angry in the Old Testament?
Why so much judgement?
Is He different today?
Understanding the whole Bible is the key to understanding any and every individual passage of the Bible.

Israel (and us) has played the role of the harlot but God still redeems and restores. You don’t have to agree with Israel on everything to know that God regathered them and He is going to redeem them, when He comes again. For those who have believed in Jesus they are already redeemed.

One of the grandest blessings of all the Bible is followed by one of the harshest warnings. This is a summary podcast on Hebrews 10, a truly glorious chapter of Scripture.

Watching "The Great Awakening".
"The liberty that once united us has become the very thing that separates us."
Benjamin Franklin.
I fear that in the American experiment, liberty devoid of a shared moral framework and common values will ultimately lead to America's downfall.
Jay Cavaiani
Some people need a healthy warning.
Have you learned the difference between works of the law and good works?
Sometimes there are things we miss because many of us were not Jewish prior and none of us lived under the circumstances that existed in the first century AD.
