Our members haven't had work since last year, and put together a GoFundMe to support one another. Meanwhile, Gannett has been continuing to update OUR work. We'd love to know who's doing that. (1/?) https://t.co/cvCU51HY5u
BARGAIN NOW: Our @Gannett members in New Jersey received major support from @RepSherrill, who wrote to CEO Mike Reed and the Gannett C-suite demanding the company settle contracts that provide livable wages and regular raises as soon as possible. Read here for more…
Bumping our Gofundme! Please support if you can--as we approach the end of the month we want to make sure we can support our former colleagues with any emergencies or payments they need to take care of. https://t.co/cvCU51HY5u

GANNETT NEEDS TO EXPLAIN: @Gannett told us and our @reviewedunion that @Reviewed had to close, putting our members out of work. Yet @Reviewed continues to operate including this on Instagram today....
Again, we were told that the company was closing down. By the company, repeatedly. Even as we asked to be placed elsewhere, as we tried to negotiate exit items. So who is making posts on Reviewed's social accounts--who is updating these pieces? (5/5)

This article was updated on Jan 2, 2025. Based on the byline, it was written by a former unit member who left last year, as well as two other staffers who are also no longer with the company. (4/?) https://t.co/iEkwIgH7aC
Gannett laid off the entire Reviewed staff on Nov 1, 2024. They said they were shutting down Reviewed. Since then, the site has remained active--posts have been updated with unit members' bylines attached, and today, seemingly, someone from Reviewed is attending CES.
Enough is enough—management needs to come to the table with a fair wage proposal.

It’s been 532 days since we received a raise. We’ve been clear that we support wage increases for our members—it’s not us, it’s Gannett. In addition to failing to increase compensation, management has refused to backfill roles, which means more work with less pay. 1/2
Please keep on donating to our fundraiser! Just because we’re back at work doesn’t mean we don’t need your help. We want to make sure our colleagues who struck last week are able to support themselves and their families, and we need your assistance! ✊

To increase our responsibilities without offering additional compensation shows an utter disconnect from the state of Reviewed’s workforce. Refusing to backfill roles as people leave means that our staff are already approaching burn out. We’ve had enough. 3/3
WE’RE ON STRIKE TODAY! Management has refused to deliver on wages.

Trying to force unit members to take on extra work in addition to their regular responsibilities is unreasonable and disrespectful, especially in light of the stated fact that there is no plan to hire any new staff. 2/3
