@animeupdates Those areas has Bilibili and Iqiyu to choose from instead. But the CR haters won't care about that, will they? They just want to find reasons to hate.
@vega_official_ I don't think you should apologize at all. Vegalta Sendai fans are amazing, from what I have seen, and all they do is to show passion. Better that you stand up for your fans who buy home and away tickets to support you.
It's called passion. And this is very common outside of Japan where fans walk together to the stadium with songs. It's for example common in premieres or rival games. I can understand the complaints if there is also involving brawls between the supporters of both teams, but if they are just happy and singing for their team, what is the problem?
Great! Because we all know what the fans have really been asking for is globalization of the anime and manga industry.
We are all excited to see anime not just created by Japanese people but by people all over the world.
Let's stop gatekeeping anime guys. Lead the way Garnt!
For someone who enjoyed Season 1 of Angel Next Door, I feel quite dissapointed in season 2 so far. This season feels just too sweet without any drama whatsoever. It's basically just them having sweet moments. Not necessarily bad but I don't really get much out of this season. Unless it improves I might drop this show actually. #ใ้ฃใฎๅคฉไฝฟๆง
My thoughts of Episode 2 of Even A Replica Can Fall In Love:
Sunao: "I need to live my own live"
Well then my first advice is to get yourself out of that damn bed and actually do some things on your damn own and stop having Nao do all the sh*t you are unable to!
Also I had a feeling we would eventually see Sunao lose it but I expected it to come later in the episode.
But it seems that because Nao is the opposite of Sunao and does better with life and people, jealousy is increasing in Sunao, and this is the result. It all started with an apology to her friend when they were younger and then it just escalated from there with depending too much on Nao.
Now, my long term wonder is if also Sunao will grow feelings for Sanada, and Oh Boy! What will jealousy do to Sunao then?
Honestly a very good show so far!

Seriously how are u guys able to see that it was AI?? Even with this comparison I couldn't tell. For me it's just an "edit". You guys are seriously skilled!
Wit Studio Apologizes for A.I Usage in 'Ascendance of Bookworm' Season 4's Opening, claim they weren't aware of it:
"We have a General rule: NO USAGE of AI in the production of our works, including this one. We sincerely apologize to our fans & the original author"
Watched episode 1 of Haibara's Teenage New Game+. I was sort of looking forward to this anime beforehand due to travelling back in time and fixing bad past. However looking at episode 1 it honestly didn't feel super good actually. I don't think I will drop it, because I think I want to see how it ends. However I don't feel the 1st episode had really anything worth mentioning. It felt very average as best. #็ฐๅใใ
Depending on who you ask, the birthday might be 8th or 9th April. Either way I choose to wish a very happy birthday to maybe my favorite Slice of life/CGDCT of all time and I would even say it was the anime that introduced me to these genres.
Even today years later this anime has a big place in my heart and one that I feel lots of love for. Absolutely amazing show.
Happy birthday to Azumanga Daioh!
And for anyone who asks: My favorite characters were either Tomo or Yomi (but maybe Tomo a bit more) I enjoyed seeing their mix of friendship and annoyance for each other.

I don't know.... I would say it's important for anime Youtubers with many subscribers to not spread uncomfirmed information like this. It's not good.
None of me or Cawcaw was there during the negotiations so I think it's important to be more source critical when it comes to information like this, especially when there is no official confirmation what is the reason, not what I have seen at least.
Also at the end of the day I believe it's the Japanese licensor who has the last word, not CR. Also CR is not a major platform in SE Asia so I don't know how much they really care what platforms are sending what shows in that region.
I do agree that Muse Asia YouTube channel is a great option to watch anime in SE Asia. At the same time we have to remember that Youtube is mainly a platform for people to upload videos, not to air anime. I would say it's more of a bonus than a rule that some shows are even on YouTube from the start.
Also as far as I know Muse is not limited to only their YouTube channel but also other platforms such as Bilibili or Iqiyu in that region? If we speak about "Monopoly" you could say Muse does that same thing in SE Asia that CR does in US or Europe etc, with the exception of more than 1 platform.
According to Livechart, Re:Zero is also available in Iqiyu and Bilibili so there should be optional places to watch it the same day as the episode releases.
I would say the reason we even have this discussion is more Muse's fault than CR.
I question the option to agree to terms to have a show on YouTube with 2 weeks delay, when you already have it the same day on other platforms. I do not understand the point in agreeing to that in the first place. The fact that SE Asia has more than 1 option to watch Re:Zero new season makes them have it way better than others who has to rely on 1 platform. Personally I dont complain because I see the benefit of having everything in 1 subscription rather than several subscriptions.
Summary: This discussion, in my opinion, appeared because Muse agreed to have a show on YouTube with 2 weeks delay, when there already other options to watch the show. There are things to criticize CR for but this is not one of them. If Muse agreed to just stick to the show on Bilibili or Iqiyu we would probably never have this discussion in the first place. But of course people just hate on CR so they become the villain whatever the reason.
These desinformation campaigns really need to stop seriously. Just as mentioned there are other platforms in SE Asia that has that show. But oh no! You have to PAY for it rather than act like "VIP" anime fans watching it for free on YouTube. Personally I feel Muse should just give up on even having Re:Zero on Youtube if some other streaming server in that region picked it up can stream same day as episode release. If they did, we wouldnt have to listen to these sorts of complaints that there is a catch watching it for free.
Extremely bad news.
Unfortunately, it looks like Re: Zero Season 4, due to what looks like licensing restrictions, most likely caused by the scum that is Crunchyroll, will be broadcasting two weeks later on Muse Asia's YouTube Channel.
This is a huge blow. Muse Asia Re: Zero subs are excellent, with some of the most passion I've seen poured into a series translation in a long while.
Though it will be available simulcast on some VOD platforms (like iQIYI and those listed in the screenshot), unfortunately their YouTube channel is generally what people are most familiar with.
Guess most people are going to be stuck with Crunchyroll's monopolistic AI slop "translations" this season.
Since Grok rolled out its auto-translation feature, Iโve started seeing more anti-AI posts from overseas.
These people seem to hate generative AI almost on instinct, and yet many of them think nothing of cutting up, editing, or otherwise using Japanese copyrighted works without permission. Why is that?
And this is something people need to understand: Japanese IP holders and creators are currently suffering enormous damage from piracy.
The estimated global damage is as high as 10 trillion yen โ about $63 billion.
That figure is based on a 2025 survey conducted by Japanโs Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which surveyed consumers in Japan, China, Vietnam, France, the United States, and Brazil, and used those results to estimate the scale of online piracy damage to Japanese-origin content.
https://t.co/Snx89T1t9O
Have overseas anti-AI activists ever opposed this even once?
With one hand, they read stolen manga and buy stolen goods; with the other, they loudly insist that unauthorized AI training must never be allowed.
It is not generative AI that is destroying Japanese manga and anime. It is piracy.
Enough with the double standards.
@Pirat_Nation Lots of upset people here I see. First of all: It's not news it's geo-blocked. For Gods sake, it's even on their website. And yes there have been issues with localizers but many if you act like it's like this with 100% of all anime released which I highly doubt.
Lmao how did this thing become big news? It's not even news though. Obviously Japan has their own services to watch anime. I went to Japan and tried to use CR in 2018 already and already then I understood it was geo-blocked. Can I assume this is the result of tourists who just recently started watching anime, never paid for anime, and just now finds out it doesn't work in Japan? There are big news to report about, this is not one of them.
That could absolutely be a possibility. However until there is a confirmation that is 100% on that I think it's important to not make a big deal out of this. I am not saying you personally did it but this seems to have sparked a very big debate without a proper confirmation and I think such assumptions can be dangerous. I do welcome the discussion whether AI should be acceptable or not in anime but I would be more careful bringing up a specific anime because it MIGHT use AI but we don't really know.
That's a completely different anime though and doesn't prove enough. Also the article focuses on a cooperation between Netflix and Wit, but Netflix are not the ones airing Ascendance Of A Bookworn, that's CR. So I would say there is not enough proof Ascendance Of A Bookworn uses AI as well.
