#SonicFrontiers so far really bad, "here's a minute of story, now green hill, now explore and go in the next level...because"
No rhyme or reason in the intro of the game
I'll be updating as i go along but wow its so bad so far, not to mention the boost and homing attack are bad
-Make a common joke in regards to games not being incredible
-Remain consistent and give a few short objective reasons as to why
-Never said you can't like or enjoy them because subjectivity is a thing
-Trigger people because "opinion is different from others"
-Got lambasted by the fans and get actually toxic things said towards you
-Zero rebuttals to points being made
I can see people don't like the fanbase as there's only one allowed opinion, that being "consume product" and discourse and discussion aren't allowed
Also I never claimed to be a fan... because I'm not, I own and play a lot of the games but only like a handful of them and even then it's up until the 2010s, when they had unique gameplay mechanics and it wasn't just a rhythm game or the same boost to win with constant side on stuff
The series has mechanically been stagnant for years I want to see better games from Sonic Team but when even the writing just breaks itself throughout the story it not good and it needs to be said instead of praised
And of course if everything is an opinion, regardless of subjectivity or objectivity, attack the statement and not the person, it's interesting to see just how toxic the fans really can get first hand and still not get an actual response to the points made here, if I am so wrong tell me how without the fluff of "it's fun" give me something to think about and consider when looking at the games objectively, as that's what I care about when talking about and critiquing media
@ImJustColeYT Are the incredible games in the room with us now?
Frontiers is boring and a mess of a game, Generation's remake didn't fix anything and got censored/rewrote scenes and Shadows story is just side content that just doesn't work narratively and is painfully easy to beat and S rank
Never said I was a fan, one look at my tweets would show I actively criticise the games and recent movies
Also hate (or rather critique) is a good thing actually, constant praise isn't good, also you can hate something and still get enjoyment out of it, breaking down the bad can be fun
There're a lot of aspects, mechanics and writing elements in the newer games that just aren't good; Shadow's side story just doesn't work, it can't fit anywhere where Generation's does, it forgets lines already said in the game, ignores pretty much everything from SA2, Shadow and 06 to tell it's own story...also Orbot and Cubot because of course we need them
Also who said I was miserable? I never outright said I hate the games, I dislike them heavily but I wouldn't say hate, the "I hate therefore I'm sad" is a strange way of looking at something

@unleash_yt That's not gameplay though, that's just a mid stage cutscene transition
Probably why there isn't one, the game has no substance to capture outside of pre-made ones
Kinda weird how in Sonic 3 G.U.N effectively has Shadow Rifles in the 70s yet we never seen them be used again or updated with advances in tech
Also the implication is that the reason the Chaos canisters were near the entry/exit is because they were being moved somewhere off site after collecting and storing a whole bunch of it, so what happened with the rest of it? And where was it going?
Also Gerald's attempted kidnap and escape...why do it/what caused it? My point is Gerald's reason is "they're taking Shadow away from us" when that's a lie as from the flashbacks G.U.N and the scientists don't care Shadow is bonding with Maria and just roaming about free, his line about the scientists looking at him in fear is just not a thing in the movie aside from when we goes into stasis and even then it didn't look like fear
Also how did he get to the middle of Tokyo? He runs to it but when we see him next he would have had to get to shore and just wonder about, kinda goofy when you think about it as the whole 2024 thing, the tech and people would have already been covered and seen already
Also how did G.U.N know he was there? They didn't track him they just appear, like the bike how it just teleports into the scene so Shadow can ride it... because video game reference
Where do you come from, where did you go? The Skytree actually breaks this, did no-one notice or care?
Prison Island doesn't work, it's slapped in the middle of the bay...this isn't hidden G.U.N what are you doing? It's an active bay, vthis is just dumb and dangerous
True its 0-50 years but no time frame really makes sense outside of it being 50 years ago, it appears to be more recent as it's old man Walters letting him out (or at least hinted at)
The issue is, it's almost written as Gerald had just finished the designs and gave them to G.U.N and they had insta built it hence why he's out now and doing the plan, which doesn't work as the line "spent the last 50 years in prison" is a thing, so did he go from Prison Island to another prison?
If not why is he only now doing the plan with Shadow? Why did Walters make up a dumb lie in 2 when G.U.H HQ just exists in London and has seemingly been around for a while going off other lines of dialogue
There's NanoTech, there's two suits, it already has the power to go into orbit and is fully stocked with G.U.N Mechs and Beetles (that aren't powered by Chaos Energy despite G.U.N having Shadow Rifles from the '70s)
The narrative falls apart by its own hand
I mean it'd be really easy to do better than this, this isn't that good of a super fight or scene in general
Especially the goofy warp transition between places, it ends up looking ugly...also Shadow wouldn't say that given his own love and care for Maria and his reaction to Tom effectively being dead (by his own hand) and how it reminded him of Maria's own death, it's poorly done, incredibly short for the set up and somehow boring
Movie 1 is good, 2 and 3 forgot what good was
Main point of retcon we have the Master Emerald just getting the Emeralds back after being launched into space and/or around the world (with Knuckles reforging it without them)
The G.U.N Commander and the government after what we learn in 3 shouldn't have got Eggman involved, if anything a lot of this is his fault for doing that
Owl and Echidna war just doesn't work and the show made it even worse
The Eclipse Cannon just doesn't make sense if it was made 50 years ago (the two suits, NanoTech and the bots)
G.U.N having a UK base and an offshore prison armed with 10 guards off the coast of Japan
Shadows writing and the quick turn around
@MrIncredib20783 I can only assume that means "shut your b*tch ass up"
But on no someone has an opinion on movies that isn't just consume product
We've seen it with the MCU where they will get to act 3 and just not have a script or write as they go, which isn't a good thing
@ToonHive Which was said every movie release, 3 was already "peak" and "the best one" therefore 4 can't be as it's been said with everything, it's lost meaning
I mean it's Metal alright, though interesting it's this design used instead of a new movie specific one or a just another model instead of the version that's been over used over the years
Also Metal is an easy character to write with many sources to pull from, you'd have to try and screw him up, though if this is the whole time travel thing it could fix the movies if you don't solely focus on the games and the lore from that
In terms of pure speed Lethal Highway is a great example to show Shadow just isn't slow, it's a really good stage to learn how Shadow controls given how long and wavy it is, it's pure joy speeding through it
Plus the Key Door being an over powered weapon to do the Dark Mission with is a great reward for finding them all
