Not all scholarships have wide disparities, but quite a few are given mostly to women.
There are even targeted agencies (i.e UNESCO-L'Orรฉal For Women in Science fellowships)
All of this, and for some reason some women still prefer to sit and wait for men to fund them. Bizarre.
Babe wey dem send go school dey advise her girlies to think long term by looking for man to "date" that can 'fund their dream and invest in them.'
UN will carry all the scholarship and opportunities and give to the girl child. The same girl child will be waiting for the boy child to fund dream. It is well ooo
โฆ6.44 Billion by the way.
Of all War-free countries, Nigeria is placed at the top in corruption and the mismanagement of public funds.
We have politicians living large, using their ill-gotten wealth to suppress and oppress the rightful owners of said funds. What a country.
The super eagles didn't smell any airport in the US for the world cup.
In fact, we didn't even make it past Murtala Muhammed Airport, talk less of qualifying.
But the Nigerian Government has been getting budget approval from the Senate for world cup participation until now.
I would add how the magnitude of our diversity has made it almost impossible for anything similar to genuine unity, be achievable.
We have over 200 million people of numerous ethnicities, beliefs and ways of life.
It's no surprise things are the way they are.
Nothing can be done.
I could write a thesis about this and relate to why Nigeria cannot thrive under its current structure. The core issue is simple: we lack a shared sense of identity and purpose strong enough to unite us. No common cultural, historical, traditional, or natural bond.

Those with indomitable spirits are labeled rebels or stubborn. Because we don't align with authority figures, we're seen as threats, not people with intellectual differences.
This cycle needs to be broken. Be open-minded and accepting of disagreement. Differences are not threats.
The two posts touch upon a paradox that most people overlook.
The paradox: violent discipline is meant to build a functional, morally upright society, but instead, it creates people who act destructively while remaining submissive to the very oppressive system they suffer from๐
The beatings worked like mad:
- we cannot challenge authority
- we keep electing leaders that rob us and rub it in our faces
- we maintain a culture of silence that enables the cycle of abuse
- we dissociate and can only process difficult emotions through the lens of religion
Your mind is programmed not to protest authority. You're taught to stay in line, keep quiet, bear with it, don't make a fuss, and don't be "disrespectful".
All of that has worked, and it has done inconceivable damage to the psyches of Nigerians.
It's an infestation that has been left to grow for too long. They always use "thoughts and prayers" to mask their incapability.
He's obviously incompetent, like the majority of them are, and since he has no solutions, he resorts to the oldest trick in the book, prayers.
A compromised institution.
They have no authenticity nor credibility.
Since the day I knew of them, they have been synonymous with electoral fraud.
We need reforms of some kind to cleanse the rot.
I dislike people who only know how to cry racism. They're the same as entitled people.
There are many real racists out there, you don't focus on them, but when YOU offend/assault actual normal people, and they take it up with you, you play the racism card. Useless behaviour.
You read stories of things like this and wonder just what is wrong.
You migrate to another country, they take you in, the next thing you do is to become a criminal.
Many such cases. You leave your country for some reason, go to a better one and become a savage.
Fools.
If citizens cannot in good mind hold civil demonstrations due to the fear of being murdered, if media outlets seem to go quiet when big issues persist, or if they embellish facts and the truth, if there are no checks and balances to an administration.
Then that's a dictatorship.
Another thing you would have noticed if you are paying attention is that our media is muted. There has been a gradual chilling effect on actual news reporting. Journalists and news platforms are self censoring and it would only get worse as elections get closer
