Breaking… As expected, Justice Salami Ibrahim of the FHC has remanded @SecretsReporter @SecretsReports investigative journalist Stanley Ugagbe in Kuje prison till September (no date) even when the our lawyer moved for bail.

What was the offense? The useless cybercrime law for reporting with 100% property documents showing CBN Deputy Governor Emem Usoro bought two houses CASH for N4.1 billion in the US and court documents accusing her of snatching someone’s husband and destroying a home.

The corrupt @PoliceNG as usual under @TunjiDisu1 did her bidding purposely filing this frivolous and military charges before the court who refused to hear bail application.

This tyranny against the free press will not stand.

You are yet to charge David Umahi for the obvious death abi murder case of Mary Habila who died in his house since June 26, despite knowing his house and office in Nigeria, it’s me who you know lives outside the country you framed a charge sheet, charging me to court because @SecretsReporter @SecretsReports exposed the CBN Deputy Governor, Emem Usoro purchase of N4.1 billion home in US as ordinary banker and her adulterous lifestyle that is already in court.

You said I’m large knowing fully well I don’t reside in Nigeria. It will not be well with you and your family.

Emem Usoro who should be facing EFCC and ICPC prosecution for money laundering is who you are doing her bidding.

How did an ordinary ED get billions and moved the money in dollars through the banking system that she’s part of, PAID CASH for the two houses and other ones yet untold?

THE GUARDIAN MUST RETRACT ITS FALSE REPORT ON AAC'S LEGAL STATUS AND APOLOGIZE

The African Action Congress (AAC) is displeased to note the false and misleading publication by The Guardian newspaper in its July 14, 2026 report titled "Opposition, candidates in turmoil as INEC nomination window closes," in which it wrongly claimed that the AAC is among political parties "whose registrations remain subject to litigation."
This assertion is false, misleading, and completely unsupported by the facts.

For the avoidance of doubt, the registration of the African Action Congress (AAC) is not subject to any litigation whatsoever. There is no pending legal action challenging the existence or registration of our party. The inclusion of AAC in that report is a grave act of misinformation capable of misleading the public and causing unnecessary confusion among our members, supporters, and the general electorate.

We therefore demand that The Guardian immediately retract this false claim, publish a correction with the same prominence as the original report, and tender an unreserved public apology to the African Action Congress (AAC).

As a media organization with a long-standing reputation, The Guardian has a responsibility to verify facts before publication, particularly on matters with significant political and legal implications. Journalism must remain anchored on accuracy, fairness, and truth, not speculation or careless reporting.

We wish to reassure all members of the AAC, our supporters, and Nigerians everywhere that our party remains fully committed to participating in the 2027 general elections and to advancing our mission of liberating Nigeria from the stranglehold of corruption, oppression, poverty, and bad governance.

No amount of misinformation or propaganda will distract us from the historic task of building a Nigeria founded on justice, equality, peace, progress, and shared prosperity for all.

We call on Nigerians to remain steadfast, organize in their communities, and continue joining and supporting the AAC Party, a movement for genuine political change.
