#Rewilding We're a multidisciplinary team of researchers working to collectively understand the ecological, environmental and societal costs and benefits of rewilding. We'll be tweeting our research and retweeting relevant news. ๐ฆซ๐๐ฟ

Excited to present my marine rewilding research to the University of Glasgowโs Aquatic Special Interest Group. Kudos to Graeme for the sign. #rewilding#marine
What an amazing privilege to present my research! Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported it, and to the FSBI for a travel grant. #IMCC7@UniOfHull@TheFSBI
Iโve been learning about the decline of the African penguin here at #IMCC7. It could be extinct in my lifetime due to overfishing of their prey (sardines) amongst other pressures. Thereโs a petition here if you feel moved to sign it: https://t.co/5bqCO71vyA
Privileged to be at the #IMCC7 in Cape Town to talk about my PhD research on marine rewilding. Great workshop this afternoon on building marine conservation around community values. Looking forward to the rest of the week! Huge thanks to the FSBI for a travel grant.
We've just set up a new group for our cluster over on LinkedIn. Please go across and follow us to see what we get up to and connect with us and our ideas!

A profound and sad picture of the โghosts of speciesโ that used to live in the Lake District, indicated by local place names. Lee Schofield at #BigPictureConference
Mary Colwell on ecological grief at #BigPictureConference โ conservation lives and dies in societyโ. Hope and knowledge are vital to empower people to support nature.
Life of a PhD researcher... On holiday, took opportunity to pick up samples & equipment stored for me at Diglis Lock. The lovely @CanalRiverTrust staff Mark & Callum entertain/educated my kids explaining locks & weirs. Of course my kids chose to ask what the sewage outlet was!!
"Yorkshire is amazingly diverse...crucial haven for declining British wildlife like puffins, wild orchids, & tree sparrows." But "we are losing the species that make Yorkshire special - including curlews & swifts." https://t.co/MOPIEjtAmF #StateofNature@YorksWildlife#ActNow
Back to work today for one of our researchers, @KristyAnna9 after a short break in the Scottish Highlands where we watched dolphins from the shores of the Moray Firth and drove around the banks of Loch Ness. ๐ฌ๐๏ธ๐ฆ #BackToWork#ScottishHighlands#NatureBreak
This time of year, most of us have been busy carrying out fieldwork. Here @ClareCowgill (plus many others) helped me collect samples for my river eDNA modelling work. It was gruelling, as fieldwork often is. I'm due to return the favour, with a much easier trip in a few weeks!
