Billionaire businessman Cosmas Maduka has called on Igbo people living outside the South-East to return home and invest in their communities, saying such investments would create jobs,and help reduce crime.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Igbo, Maduka said:

“If the Federal Government establishes a seaport in the South-East or even Rivers State, Lagos’ monopoly over Nigeria’s economy will collapse. They will be the ones begging people to use the Lagos seaport because people will now have alternative, if the government wants to help, From Abia State up to Ugwuta from Imo State can dredge Ugwuta Lake and create a seaport.”
