Twitch and Amazon are being sued in a class action over claims that the tech companies harvest creators' video streams without permission or compensation to train Amazon's generative AI program.
Story: https://t.co/3ORvNwqLuR
Netherlands Privacy + Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), recommends that users opt out of Twitch's AI training with Amazon, calling it "very risky".

#savepokemonbank
An offline version of Pokemon Bank is possible as proven with the existence of software like PKSM. It even has functionality to connect with the Switch.
"Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features"
WHAT DOES THIS BUTTON DO THEN?????
If @Pokemon ever sees this, PLEASE find a way to make a physical device that can connect to Pokemon HOME. Even if it was compatible with only 3DS games, it would still make it possible for us to transfer Pokemon from older games 🥲
Twitch creators appear to be adding 'aioptedout' to their content tags to help indicate to audiences they have toggled it off.
Twitch CPO Mikey Minty was asked about an "opted in/out indicator" yesterday and said they had no plans to implement one for viewers.
For those who are up on the GenAI issues on Twitch-- they are not planning to have any way to let us know what channels have opted out of GenAI Data Collection.
I am using the tag "OptOutGenAI". If you are a creator who also is opting out please consider using the tag too!
Something to keep in mind. If you chat in someone else's stream that hasn't opted out of gen ai training then your chat can be used for training. EVERYONE NEEDS TO OPT OUT! <3
I generally need a visual guide (esp with there being soo many setting pages on this stupid site) so just incase others do ...
Here's how to opt out of Twitch's Generative AI update.

🚨I GOT BANNED OFF YOUTUBE FOR 7 DAYS OVER THIS 🚨
YouTube struck & deleted my video for ‘violent graphic content’ over watching a dude kill mosquitoes
Hundreds of insect flamethrower & killing videos stay up fine. Appeal rejected immediately because AI moderation is horrible.
Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI.
Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
So apparently Sony & Playstation are shocked and are having panic over the pushback 😂
Seems they are waiting for Microsoft to take over the news with the insane layoffs and studio closures.
MAKE SURE WE DON'T FORGET NO MATTER WHAT!!!
