You're not far from the truth honestly "A country is built when ordinary people decide to care about something bigger than their personal success"
But we should not forget, the individual cares before now, they fought, they wanted to know but anytime we show they show their intelligence, the people in charge will always find a way to shut their mouth and silence them.
Our old cargos in power are not allowing the youth to have access to power why because they know what they are doing.
What happened during end sars, how many times have youths and individuals come out and talk but you talking might end up being killed or arrested
Yes majority of people mind their business, find a way to make their money and protect themselves because our leaders have been failing us since Nigeria got their independence.
Even leaders in the family also try to kill a child that knows about the evil he's doing, they always try to eliminate the intelligent ones. Not only on the federal level but also on our small society.
That's why the majority of the youth try to find a way and make their life better rather than trusting and speaking up to the people who don't care but only themselves.
The biggest problem with Nigeria is not just bad leadership.
Itβs a generation that has become comfortable being disconnected from everything that shapes society.
We want good roads but donβt care who manages public funds. We want jobs but donβt care about policy. We want accountability but donβt participate in the systems that produce it.
Weβve become experts at minding our business, building our brands, chasing money, and securing our own future. But nations are not built by individuals thinking only about themselves.
A country is built when ordinary people decide to care about something bigger than their personal success.
The truth is, every society eventually becomes a reflection of what its citizens consistently ignore.
And if we continue treating civic responsibility as someone elseβs job, we may wake up one day and realize that the country we complain about is simply the result of our collective absence.
